Returns & Payment Policy

Return Policy

14 Days

from the date of delivery to request a return

Eligible Items

  • Items must be unused, unopened, and in original packaging.
  • Apparel must be unworn with original tags attached.
  • Items must be free from damage, odor, or alteration.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Opened body care products (body butter, scrubs, soaps) for hygiene reasons.
  • Custom or personalized orders.
  • Gift cards.
  • Items marked as Final Sale.
  • Items returned after the 14-day window.

How to Start a Return

  1. Email support@treeofafrica.com with your order number and reason for return.
  2. We will respond within 2 business days with return instructions and a return address.
  3. Ship the item back using a trackable shipping method. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the item was defective or incorrectly sent.
  4. Once we receive and inspect the item, your refund will be processed within 5–7 business days.

Defective or Wrong Items

If you received a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, we will cover return shipping and offer a full refund or replacement at no cost to you. Please include a photo of the issue in your email.

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear depending on your bank or payment provider (PayPal refunds typically appear within 3–5 business days). Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

Printful / Apparel Items

Apparel items fulfilled by Printful are subject to Printful's fulfillment policies in addition to ours. In the event of a print defect or manufacturing error on an apparel item, Printful will provide a free reprint or refund. Contact us first and we will coordinate on your behalf.

Payment Security

Card payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor — the highest standard in the payments industry. Your card details are encrypted directly in your browser and never touch our servers. PayPal payments are handled entirely within PayPal's secure environment. Tree of Africa never sees, receives, or stores your card number, CVV, or banking credentials.

Order Confirmation

Your card is charged at the time of order placement. You will receive an order confirmation email immediately after a successful payment. If you do not receive a confirmation within 30 minutes, please check your spam folder or contact us.

Pricing & Currency

All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD). Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping state. Prices may change without notice, but the price shown at checkout is the price you will be charged.

Chargebacks

If you believe an error has occurred with your payment, please contact us at support@treeofafrica.com before initiating a chargeback. We work quickly to resolve any billing issues and a direct resolution is always faster than the chargeback process.

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days. Apparel items may take an additional 3–5 business days for Printful to fulfill before shipping.
